Claudia Coussins (she/her)
CLINICAL SUPERVISOR
#fhtogglels/Read Bio/Close/eb
Claudia is an integrative psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, researcher and tutor on counselling and psychotherapy courses and with grassroots therapy groups. Her intention is to co-create therapeutic spaces where people - including herself - can heal, (un)learn and imagine. Claudia’s practice is relational, embodied and political; and she finds meaningful shifts tend to happen in the simplicity of being alongside others with their everyday heartaches and joyful possibilities. This approach translates into her research as Claudia believes knowledge is co-created relationally and that research can be healing (rather than extractive). Previously, Claudia worked in research, policy and practice roles supporting families and practitioner wellbeing. She is currently on a doctorate programme at Goldsmiths University researching the wellbeing of Black mixed-race psychotherapists using a collective autotheory methodology rooted in Black feminisms. Claudia loves dogs but doesn’t yet own one so is very happy to be called on if a dog’s ever in need of a walk or a cuddle!
